Immediately after landing Ok Go's 'Treadmil' came on the radio in the taxi and Jona and I knew we were in for a good time.  We picked up our rental, sped off to the mountains, and then a few days later were off to the coast.  The pics show most everything up until the storm hit when when kayaking and (sadly!) the most spectacular part of the whole trip...the bioluminescent bay.  Johanna and I agreed that it was the most memorable moments of our life.  It’s hard to describe the phenomenon of bioluminescence, but the water is full of these special organisms that light up when agitated in the same way lightening bugs do.  Except it’s electric blue and 100,000 as bright, and there’s millions of them. So as you swim, splash and frolic, the water glistens a bright blue against the backdrop of a midnight sky... Needless to say I was not prepared for the natural beauty to behold.  They say that there used to be biobays all over the world, but now they are mostly all extinct except for in Puerto Rico and Bali.  So we swam, dove off the kayaks and splashed each other with the sparkling silver-blue water and wished we could stayed all night.  Everyone should visit this unbelievable wonder of the world before it, too becomes extinct.  I can't wait to take my kids there!

My good friend Johanna and I flew down to Puerto Rico for a few days to relax at a yoga center and visit the world famous bioluminescent bay....
